These are the open seasons for the various species in Scotland only;

Pheasant

1st October – 1st February
Partridge 1st September – 1st February
Woodcock 1st September - 31st January
Snipe 12th August - 31st January
Duck 1st September – 31st January
Wild Geese 1st September – 31st January
Roe Buck 1st April – 20th October
Roe Doe 21st October – 31st March
