Agricultural Lettings

Today the estate lets approximately 7500 acres of agricultural land in addition to the land farmed in hand. The holdings vary in size from an 1100 acre hill unit to a 16 acre livery unit. This is not a dairying area but either arable or mixed arable and livestock. Land quality varies from heather hill to Grade 2 arable. The holdings are let on a variety of agricultural leases and the estate has embraced the recent legislative changes and utilises the new LDT and SLDT leases.
